Project Description : Anatomy is the foundation of Physician Assistant (PA) practice; however, the PA anatomy curriculum has not been well studied. PA education is consistently guided by the board exam blueprint which provides the percentage by organ system content in the exam and the accreditation standard which mandates the teaching of anatomy. This mandate, yet lacking guidance, when paired with the paucity of literature, results in a need for clinical PAs to provide insight into essential anatomical knowledge required for safe patient-centered care. Together, PA clinical and anatomy faculty can determine essential anatomical content, define clear learning outcomes, and allocate appropriate curricular time to achieve these goals.
